*The blonde lifted his head slowly to look up at Hibari*

What are you talking about?

*He turned and walked back over to Maguri, kneeling in front of him. He took him firmly by the shoulders and kissed him.*

*Maguri really hadn't known what to expect from Hibari when he'd said that, but that definately took him by surprise. His shoulders tensed under Hibari's hands for a moment before they fell slack and relaxed. Wide gold eyes slid closed as the war within him went silent temporarily and he just accepted the kiss, even leaning up into it hesitantly.*

*One hand slid into Maguri's hair as his other arm slid down and wound around his waist, pulling him onto his lap. He tipped his head slightly, deepening their kiss, only keeping at it a few seconds longer before breaking it. Hibari stayed close though, bumping foreheads. He really didn't want to stop but it probably wouldn't do to overwhelm the poor blond even more.*

*Maguri sat there, dumbfounded for a few blissful moments of not thinking, but soon enough he sagged into Hibari and bit back tears. Maora.... would never forgive him for this, he was pretty sure. Besides how would he ever explain that he had been on an island with no memories and fell for someone before he could remember him?

It sounded completely insane.

And he didn't know if he'd ever get home. Or see Maora again... and that hurt more than finding out he'd cheated on him. That he may never see his friends again....

It was more than the blonde could deal with by himself. That sort of loneliness, he couldn't do it. But here was Hibari who'd been through so much turmoil over whether they should see how things would go between them and liked him and... he was here. And understood.

It just wasn't fair at all.

The boy sat there in silence as he thought these things over for what was probably the fiftieth time already with his arms slung loosely around Hibari's neck, trying to sort things out.*

*Hibari understood far too well what Maguri was going through.

Which is why he found it so easy to try and distract him from all those thoughts, holding him close and secure, trailing soft kisses down his neck.

He wasn't very good with words so he didn't try to soothe him that way at all. It was much easier for him to communicate physically. Hopefully a little affection was good enough.*

*Maguri shivered a little with each distracting kiss, but it couldn't keep his mind from going round and round.

And each time he came to the same conclusion: He had no idea what was going to happen. What if he was living here the rest of his life?! And what if he'd given up on something with somebody he really liked because of that...?

And even if he made it home, he'd already... and they'd already... His ears burned a little, even as his head tipped in toward Hibari again, murmuring softly*

Are we bad people, Kyouyan? For wanting to be with someone while we are here even though we know there's other people we like....? That's okay, right... to want to not be alone?

I think... that even if we're doing something people would say is 'bad'.. no one has any right to tell us we have to be alone. That's for us to decide. If we want to be with someone that makes us happy, that should be okay. It doesn't mean you like that one, special person any less..

They... they should understand that. We're just lonely.

*Sighed, stroking his hair gently, looking at Maguri as he spoke. Once he finished speaking, he tipped his head close to kiss him again.*

*Maguri closed the distance between their lips and kissed Hibari softly even as his words continued to sink in.

... They would want them to be happy and not hurt, right? To not be lonely?

He... He was pretty sure he wouldn't want Maora to be lonely. Or Takataka... And he didn't want Hibari to be either.

Somehow... this all made more sense and he was grateful for the words, so grateful. He deepened the kiss and his embrace tightened around Hibari*

*Hibari returned that kiss just as deeply, his hand rubbing Maguri's thigh as his other arm stayed around his waist, keeping him close.

It was a little chilly up there and he was well-aware of that... maybe soon he'd suggest they take it inside.*

*Maguri shivered, though it was unclear if it was from the cold air or from the kiss and hand on his leg. When the kiss finally broke, he gave a shaky breath and a faint faint smile*

... t-thank you, Kyouyan.... for understanding.

*He kissed Maguri again firmly, but kept it brief, hugging him close.*

It's funny how I really do completely understand your situation. So the sentiment is genuine.

...we should go in if you're cold.

*Maguri nodded and someday maybe he could ask Hibari more about that special person of his and... Maguri wasn't ever going to forget about Maora either and if Hibari ever wanted to hear about his friends, he'd be happy to talk about what he could remember of them. But for now.... He smiled again a little more this time and nodded*

I'm kinda cold, yeah...

Okay, come on.

*He shifted into a crouch and grabbed Maguri up in his arms, standing and lifting him up with a smirk.*

Your apartment or mine~?

*Maguri made a soft yelp as he was pulled up what felt like effortlessly*

Well, we're already here, but I don't want to bug Suzaku-kun either. But you could come down and meet... *Long pause*

Mm, nevermind. Let's go to your place. Should I grab anything though... other than hopefully a jacket?

We don't need to grab anything.

*He pulled his jacket off and put it around Maguri's shoulders, content with just his sweater. Grabbed at his hand, tugging him along toward the stairs, obviously somewhat excited to be heading back to his place so they could spend time together.*

*Maguri bluuuuuuuuuushed and smiled at the jacket, pulling it closer around him happily, starting to feel a bit better over all. As he was tugged, he twisted his hand around and laced their fingers together.*

You sure you're okay without this?

Of course. I'll be fine. *Squeezed his hand with the most reassuring smile he could muster!*

Do you need to eat when we get to my place?

Eat?

I... I haven't eaten at all yet, but I wasn't really hungry before either.

So I don't know. I probably should...

I'll make you a snack. Or something more if you want it.

*Lifted Maguri's hand to his lips.*

*Gulps and his eyes are wide, watching his hand and Hibari's lips - w-wow...*

M-mm. Thanks... Have you eaten?

Mm... not yet. I've only recently been coming out of my room. I haven't eaten much for the past few days.

*He gave a shrug, leading Maguri down the stairs, trying not to hurry too much. He couldn't help walking more quickly when he was excited and really had his mind set on a particular destination.*

*Thankfully Maguri had longer legs that helped make up for the quicker pace and Hibari's excitement, though reigned in a bit, was contagious - he could tell he was happy and that just lifted the teen's spirits even further*

We should both have something, then, huh? Did you want some help?
