That much is easy. This place is called Memento Eden, you're suffering from amnesia, they provide free food and board for reasons that are beyond my understanding, and you should regain your memories eventually, but none of us know when exactly or how exactly that occurs. There are lots of other people here, and a fair amount to do, so you should relax and... much as I hate to say it, get used to this place.

Oh, and by the way, if you were thinking that I'm the kidnapper, you are quite mistaken.

I'm in Memento Eden and there is free food and a place to sleep and somehow I remember stuff sometimes, right? And you claim you didn't kidnap me. But how else would you know about all that other stuff?

Yes, you're quite right about that, but other things happen aside from that. Like, for example, this past month people have been turning into children or future versions of themselves for about a week at a time. There was also the cold snap in early spring that made it nearly impossible to go outdoors, the regenerating trees, the fact that magic exists here...

While I do work at the library, no, I haven't been reading too much. As an actor, reading is somewhat required.

I can't say it involves magic for certain, but many of the residents here are rather unique. You'll understand what I mean soon enough, I suppose. And I imagine your skepticism will die out when that happens.
