... Hey, so I think one of these guys wants to help, but I gotta meet him at the Ari Apartments. Do you work tonight? Could I come back afterward or should I just stay over there after?

Got it! I don't have to leave just yet and I kind of figure I should let my hair finish drying first again before he looks at it anyway.

That'll give me a chance to pack stuff to wear tomorrow too. *He smiled, happy to be staying over and continued to sip at his tea, cheering up at least a little despite the hair fiasco*

*Downed the rest of his tea and went over to Maguri again, running his fingers through his hair.*

Hopefully it won't get too damaged from all of this. It would be unpleasant for it to stick together.

Eh? *Maguri's eyes lifted up to Hibari and he shrugged* Well, it's done okay so far, right? I hope one screw up won't totally ruin it...

*He finished his tea and sighed quietly, though this time it was mostly in contentment at the fingers in his hair*

*Kissed his cheek and stayed close to him.*

Heh, this is going to sound kind of stupid, but I've missed alone time with you. It seems like we've both been pretty busy since that weekend, huh? Not that it's been that long, but, well, ya know...

Ehhh? *Maguri blushed pink across the cheeks* That's not really what I meant, but I wouldn't object either... *He tipped his head to the side obligingly as Hibari nuzzled his neck*

I just mean, I see you at class and all, but it's not the same as hanging out or cuddling or staying over and stuff. But if you missed me too, it can't be that stupid, huh? Heh.

You should stay over more often. At least on the weekends. I have to work a lot at night so I could come to bed with you but I'd probably leave and come back during the night.

It's hard, with school. *Hugged him close, sighing gently.* I don't like sleeping alone.

I guess I could do that. It's kind of hard with Okurimakuri to take care of too. And I have shifts on the weekends too because I just don't have school those days.

Ugh, I can't wait for break now. It'll be a little more extra time...

That's right. Maybe every few weeks I'll just.. I don't know. Have a lighter week. I like having all of the extra money from working full time. I got really used to it.

Well I make twice as much at my job as rent is here. I need to be able to get food and things I need and buy things for you when I feel like it.

So I can't really cut back on my hours at all.

Eh? But I don't want you to overwork yourself so you have money to spend on me at all, okay? I mean, it must be a little harder with no roommate here, huh?

I worked just as much before I had a roommate, I just wasn't going to school. Now I'm juggling eight hours of each. So I get four or five hours of sleep accumulated throughout the day and I sleep in on weekends.

*Opened his mouth to say something only to shut it again, a worried look on his face*

... Were you supposed to work tomorrow, Kyouyan?

Don't worry about it, Chestnut. It doesn't matter.

*Kissed his cheek, obviously trying to avoid the subject.*

*That worry turned into a full-out frown again* But if you can take the time off to go with me, you should use it to rest instead! And if you had the day off, I can... I can just deal with it and go by myself anyway.

I actually have tomorrow off already so don't worry about it. I'll come with you. Don't argue. *He had to look away from that frown, it was guilting him too much.*

Damnit, I shouldn't have asked you. I didn't really have any idea you were working that much on top of school. I'll handle it myself.
