*Hibari went into the kitchen, putting the kettle on like he said he would. Then, he climbed up on the counter and got into his tea cupboard.*

*Maguri came back out, sans his shirt, toweling his still pink hair, about 25 minutes later, sulking quietly*

*He grabbed up his journal and was going to flip through it for any replies or suggestions others may have made while he was trying to unsuccessfully wash out the coloring*

Hey. *He was sitting on the counter, trying to decide between two different teas.*

Vanilla jasmine or genmaicha?

Vanilla jasmine. Have you been trying to pick tea this whole time? *He gave him a look* And did you climb up there?

Yes, I--ah... *Shit. He was caught. Hibari stuck the genmaicha back in the cupboard and hopped off the counter, clearing his throat as he went about steeping their tea. Ignoring the second question.*

Kyouyan! You aren't supposed to do that! Can't I just move it down to a lower shelf for you?

*Flipped through the journal and pulled out a pen from his back pocket, leaning on the counter as he wrote back to some of the replies*

*Frowned, bringing Maguri a cup of tea once it was ready.*

*Glanced up from the journal and frowned right on back* ... but what if you fell? I mean, I know it isn't likely since you don't do stuff like that, but what if you did?

*Shrugged and came over to Maguri, looking up at him.* ..that's good.

I don't even want to think about it... *He looked back down at him, leaning down after a moment to kiss his forehead* I don't know what I'd do.

*He sighed and nuzzled the other's dark hair before pulling back to grab his tea again and take another drink* I should see if they've answered. There's one guy who says he's a scientist and another who said he knows some stuff about chemistry at least so far.

That's good. Someone should be able to help you. Hopefully you'll be able to get it back to blond. If not, black is fine too. It'd be interesting to see you as.. you.

Eh... But blonde is me. I haven't had black hair since I was like this high! *And he motioned down with his hand to indicate how high, at about Hibari's waist or so.*

*Maguri made a face and shrugged and took his tea over to the table to check on those replies, mumuring under his breath that he wanted to stay blonde. It was important to him...*

... Hey, so I think one of these guys wants to help, but I gotta meet him at the Ari Apartments. Do you work tonight? Could I come back afterward or should I just stay over there after?

Got it! I don't have to leave just yet and I kind of figure I should let my hair finish drying first again before he looks at it anyway.

That'll give me a chance to pack stuff to wear tomorrow too. *He smiled, happy to be staying over and continued to sip at his tea, cheering up at least a little despite the hair fiasco*

*Downed the rest of his tea and went over to Maguri again, running his fingers through his hair.*

Hopefully it won't get too damaged from all of this. It would be unpleasant for it to stick together.

Eh? *Maguri's eyes lifted up to Hibari and he shrugged* Well, it's done okay so far, right? I hope one screw up won't totally ruin it...

*He finished his tea and sighed quietly, though this time it was mostly in contentment at the fingers in his hair*

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

*Kissed his cheek and stayed close to him.*
