*Thus, about a half hour later Hibari was knocking on Maguri's door.*

*Maguri answered the door after a few minutes and his hair was mussed and his eyes were somewhat red, like he'd been crying. He swallowed hard and his voice was quiet when he spoke* The roof ok? I couldn't think of anywhere else to talk alone without leaving.

Sure.. come on. *He reached to gently take Maguri's hand and lead him up toward the roof.*

*Maguri was grateful for being led and was fairly quiet as they headed up one more level to reach the roof. The crisp, cool air felt pretty good on his face, but he didn't really notice it, too busy trying to figure out what to say... *

*Slowly, he released Maguri's hand, expression going from happy and calm to blank rather quickly.*

... his name is Yoshitaka, but we call him Maora because.... well, I can't remember, but it's probably because of something weird, because he's weird....

*He went quiet, contemplating... though, really, nothing was going through his head. He couldn't think. Finally, he'd gone and straightened things out so they could-- but now Maguri had a boyfriend and--

He didn't know what to say. So, he stood, looking out into the distance.*

*Maguri had scrambled to his feet when Hibari had stood and looked at him, pained*

Wh-what? What do you understand? Cause I don't know what I'm supposed to do....

I don't know if I'll even ever see Maora again...........

And I do still like you too... and... *He sighed miserably* I don't know what to do. *There were a few tears now, but he tried to wipe them away quickly*

*The blonde lifted his head slowly to look up at Hibari*

What are you talking about?

*He turned and walked back over to Maguri, kneeling in front of him. He took him firmly by the shoulders and kissed him.*

*Maguri really hadn't known what to expect from Hibari when he'd said that, but that definately took him by surprise. His shoulders tensed under Hibari's hands for a moment before they fell slack and relaxed. Wide gold eyes slid closed as the war within him went silent temporarily and he just accepted the kiss, even leaning up into it hesitantly.*

*One hand slid into Maguri's hair as his other arm slid down and wound around his waist, pulling him onto his lap. He tipped his head slightly, deepening their kiss, only keeping at it a few seconds longer before breaking it. Hibari stayed close though, bumping foreheads. He really didn't want to stop but it probably wouldn't do to overwhelm the poor blond even more.*

*Maguri sat there, dumbfounded for a few blissful moments of not thinking, but soon enough he sagged into Hibari and bit back tears. Maora.... would never forgive him for this, he was pretty sure. Besides how would he ever explain that he had been on an island with no memories and fell for someone before he could remember him?

It sounded completely insane.

And he didn't know if he'd ever get home. Or see Maora again... and that hurt more than finding out he'd cheated on him. That he may never see his friends again....

It was more than the blonde could deal with by himself. That sort of loneliness, he couldn't do it. But here was Hibari who'd been through so much turmoil over whether they should see how things would go between them and liked him and... he was here. And understood.

It just wasn't fair at all.

The boy sat there in silence as he thought these things over for what was probably the fiftieth time already with his arms slung loosely around Hibari's neck, trying to sort things out.*

*Hibari understood far too well what Maguri was going through.

Which is why he found it so easy to try and distract him from all those thoughts, holding him close and secure, trailing soft kisses down his neck.

He wasn't very good with words so he didn't try to soothe him that way at all. It was much easier for him to communicate physically. Hopefully a little affection was good enough.*
